The Kent Spitfires squad 2026 is captained by Sam Billings and coached by Adam Hollioake in South Group C of the T20 Blast 2026. The 2021 champions bring Australian seamer Tom Rogers back for a third year at Canterbury, with South African all-rounder Dian Forrester replacing the injured Senuran Muthusamy, alongside Keith Dudgeon — a formidable overseas trio at the Spitfire Ground.

Introduction

Can the Spitfires Climb Back to T20 Blast Glory in 2026?

The Kent Spitfires squad 2026 arrives with a point to prove. Their 2021 Blast title was the stuff of legend — winning every knockout game at Edgbaston under Darren Stevens’ magnificent unbeaten century in the final. Since then, the wait for a return to Finals Day has tested the patience of a passionate Kent fanbase.

The Kent Spitfires team 2026 is balanced and competitive. Sam Billings leads a squad including England opener Zak Crawley, Tawanda Muyeye’s explosive batting, Matt Parkinson’s world-class leg-spin, and Tom Rogers’ proven county pace. Dian Forrester — who played alongside Billings in the PSL — adds a left-handed power-hitting differential in the batting order.

The T20 Blast 2026 Kent Spitfires squad opens with two of county cricket’s greatest derbies — the War of the Wealds against Sussex on 25 May, then the Battle of the Bridge against Essex on 29 May. A strong start at the Spitfire Ground could set the tone for a long-awaited Finals Day return.

About The Club

Team Overview

Kent County Cricket Club was founded in 1870 and plays home T20 matches at the Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence in Canterbury — a ground steeped in history dating back to 1847, holding around 15,000 spectators. In 2026 Kent also use the County Ground in Beckenham for selected fixtures.

In the T20 Blast 2026, Kent compete in South Group C alongside Essex Eagles, Hampshire Hawks, Middlesex, Surrey, and Sussex Sharks. Their cross-group fixture is away at Notts Outlaws. The South Group is the most fiercely contested regional group in the competition with six genuine Finals Day contenders.

Adam Hollioake is head coach and Director of Cricket Simon Cook oversees the squad. The famous opening home fixtures — the War of the Wealds against Sussex and the Battle of the Bridge against Essex — make Canterbury one of the most atmospheric T20 venues in county cricket in the early weeks of the summer.

Final Word

Can the Spitfires Soar Back to Edgbaston in 2026?

The Kent Spitfires squad 2026 carries the pride of a county that knows what it means to win the T20 Blast. That 2021 final — Stevens’ century, the final ball, Edgbaston erupting — lives on in Kent cricket folklore. The 2023 semi-final proved they can still get there. Now 2026 is their chance to go all the way again.

Muyeye’s brilliance, Parkinson’s leg-spin, Rogers’ returning fitness, and Billings’ captaincy give them real competitive balance. Dian Forrester is the left-handed differential that director Simon Cook highlighted — a genuine match-winner at a career strike rate of 140.7. Keith Dudgeon’s outstanding early-season form adds another dimension to a deep bowling attack.

The T20 Blast 2026 Kent Spitfires squad opens with the War of the Wealds and the Battle of the Bridge — two iconic derbies under the Canterbury floodlights. If that early momentum builds, the Spitfires have everything needed for another Finals Day push. The Garden of England is ready to bloom again.
